During our travels, we capture a lot of footage on video.
We use these recordings not only to preserve our own memories but also to share them with you on our social media channels such as YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.
We use three types of cameras: the DJI Mini 4 Pro drone, the DJI Osmo Pocket 3, and the Insta360 camera with the invisible stick. Below, we’ll explain what each of these can do.
DJI Mini 4 Pro Drone:
The Mini 4 Pro is the most advanced mini camera drone to date. It offers powerful imaging capabilities, omnidirectional obstacle sensing, ActiveTrack 360° with the new Trace Mode, and impressive Full HD video transmission of up to 20 km—though we don’t fly it that far.
The drone features a tilting camera, allowing us to film in both landscape and portrait modes. Thanks to the portrait mode, we can now share much more content on Instagram. Additionally, the drone is equipped with multiple sensors, making it nearly impossible to crash. And if the connection between the controller and the drone is lost, it will automatically return to its takeoff location.
DJI Osmo Pocket 3:
The DJI Osmo Pocket 3 is pocket-sized and extremely portable, allowing you to capture memorable moments one-handed. With the ability to start shooting in just one second, you can record photos and videos at the pace of life.
We use this camera for all low-angle shots and, starting in the summer of 2025, for recording voice-over commentary as well. Just like the DJI Mini 4 Pro drone, the lens can rotate between landscape and portrait modes.
Insta360 X3 360-Degree Camera:
We use the Insta360 X3 camera for high-angle shots that often resemble drone footage. With a 3-meter-long “invisible” stick, it can look as if the camera is actually flying.
We can shoot standard footage, but also incredible 360-degree videos where the viewer can control the camera perspective themselves. One of these amazing recordings can be viewed below, taken during our 2023 trip through Kalenberg.
